Doctor Strange: Marvel's First Horror Movie

They didn't just call it "Strange" for nothing.

The upcoming "Doctor Strange" may not has as big impact as "Captain America" or "Avengers" but it may just be Marvel's first horror movie. It could also turn out to be one of Marvel's most important movie given that "Strange" opens up the Marvel Universe to the world of magic.

Scott Adkins emphasized to The Huffington Post that the movie is going to show "other dimension side" and Scott Derrickson's "horror element."

Yes. Scary stuff.

Based on director Derrickson's previous films like "The Exorcism of Emily Rose," "Deliver Us from Evil" and "Sinister," it wouldn't be a surprise if the "Strange" gets another meaning.

What's great about Marvel is that they don't just make superhero movies. They make superheroes within different genres like thriller, action, political thriller...matured content humor? But Marvel in different shades of genres just makes these superheroes more human. Which is really good.

In addition, the movie also aided both actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Mads Mikkelsen to get closer with their fighting skills. Adkins, an English actor and martial artist assessed Benedict Cumberbatch's fighting skills and even gave an apology for his part in the "abomination" that is "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
