With their big fight already arranged, Baron Geisler promises fight fans that his fight against Kiko Matos at URCC will be bloody.
“Para lang matapos na, para lang matuloy din yung project, I mean, para lang matuloy ang laban… We’ll see what happens but I’m really serious about this. There will be blood. Bigwasan,” he concluded.
Following their altercation at Tomato Kick bar in Quezon City, Geisler and Matos have accepted the invitation by Universal Reality Combat Championship MMA promotion to settle their differences.
The fight will be held at the Palace Pool Club on June 25, with the proceeds going to charity.
Geisler said, “The contract signing is still in the works but meron nang kontrata [so] sana nandun kayo to cover the weigh in as dun kami magkakaharap ni Kiko Matsing,”
“Kiko Matsing” is a reference to the lovable monkey puppet in the defunct children’s television show “Batibot.”
Geisler admits difficulty being acclimatized to the fight training, citing the media people wanting to interview him which he said distracts him from his training. He also cut down on his smoking as part of his preparation.
“I need to stay focused. Actually, everyday before I sleep, I visualize the fight already,” Geisler added.
