Thunder on a roll, push Warriors to brink

Russell Westbrook tallied a total of 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in a triple-double effort and Kevin Durant chipped in 26 points as Oklahoma City Thunder rolls past Golden State Warriors 118-94 in game 4 of their Western Conference Finals held at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Thunder now leads the series 3-1, and needs only one game to send the defending champions packing.

This is also the first time in season the Warriors suffered back-to-back losses after setting a 12-0 record in games after a loss.

Game 5 shifts back to the Bay Area.

Thunder jumped out to an early double-digit first quarter lead, leading by as much as 14 behind forced turnovers before the Dubs whittled down the deficit to 4.

The home team continued to roll though, outscoring the Warriors 24-11 in the second quarter to settle for a 19-point lead at the break.

Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson caught fire in the third, pouring 19 of his 26 points in the period to narrow the gap as close as five. But the Thunder kept rolling as they managed to keep the Warriors at bay, settling for a 12-point lead at the end before outscoring them by 12 points at the fourth to seal the deal.

Back-to-back MVP Steph Curry scored 19 points but only shot a dismal 6-20 from the field.

One more win by Thunder and they will punch a ticket to the NBA Finals, something that they haven't done in four years.
