Panic! At the Disco have been releasing as many videos as their singles. No doubt that they’re nominated for Best Music Video at this year’s APMA’s. Across five albums and various lineups, the band has released 20 separate music videos, each with a distinctive style and theme, just like their records.
Here’s our ranking of P!ATD’s videos from the least best to best. Because there is no such thing as a worst P!ATD video.
Now sit back and enjoy!
20. NICOTINE
One word. Aesthetic!
19. LET’S KILLTONIGHT
The killer show!
18. READY TO GO
For those who wanna see a dancing Brendon Urie. This track also uses the Singing in the Rain choreography which is really kinda engaging.
17. GIRLS/GIRLS/BOYS
For those people who just wanna see Brendon naked. Just keep looking down.
16. NORTHERN DOWNPOUR
Earthy aesthetic. But it gets really crazier once you read the floating lyrics. Spoiler!
15. THAT GREEN GENTLEMAN
The coming of age! The feel good era. I think this is one of those personal songs of Panic! At the Disco.
14. NINE IN THE AFTERNOON
Brendon in pajamas. Right? And I think you already have a good day watching this video.
13. HALLELUJAH
"Hallelujah" well, Brendon once said he's religious but it's actually him chasing a girl in a very ending maze.
12. NEW PERSPECTIVE
Well, first of all, this is from the soundtrack of the movie "Jennifer's Body". And second, you heard it right, "Can we fast-forward to go down on me?"
11. DON’T THREATEN ME WITH A GOOD TIME
Surprisingly weird and awesome! And yes, tentacles. So Brendon got drunk (just like what the song says) then there's an alien. Not gonna spoil you guys anymore. Just see for yourself.
10. BUILD GOD, THEN WE’LL TALK
As sensitive as the title sounds, and theme of this video, well... there's more to it that that. It's really funny how this song actually has a story and the only similarity between the song and video is that it's quite porno. Well not actually porn but... Maybe you should just watch it alone.
9. LYING IS THE MOST FUN A GIRL CAN HAVE WITHOUT TAKING HER CLOTHES OFF
One of the oddest concepts when it comes to Panic! At the Disco's music videos but also one of the most creative ones. And yes, the fish tanks are genius!
8. THE BALLAD OF MONA LISA
That steampunk theme really fits! And yes, we also think that's the same church.
7. DEATH OF A BACHELOR
This Frank Sinatra inspired song is just too classy. You can totally see Brendon himself back if he was born in another timeline.
6. BUT IT’S BETTER IF YOU DO
This is one of those days when you just can't listen to "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" without listening to this first! And yes, as Vagas babies, it better look Vagas.
5. I WRITE SINS NOT TRAGEDIES
As a sequel to "But It's Better If You Do". Ask anyone who knows Panic! At the Disco and I bet this is their first songs. This will never be a top ten without this. The wedding! And yes, I think this is one of those rare P!ATD videos where the music video itself is related to the actual lyrics of the song.
4. EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES
This is the continuation of "This is Gospel" and currently nominated as 2016 APMA Best Music Video. You should see him transform as the soul from "This is Gospel" to this demon. Hear closely the bone cracks!
3. MISS JACKSON
So... Brendon, a dead hooker and a woman who's been bewitching everyone. And don't forget Brendon waving a sword. For some reason this actually reminds me of From Dusk Til Dawn but never mind that. Move along.
2. VICTORIOUS
Personal favorites here. But hey, as positive as the lyrics get, this actually a very motivating music video. Kinda like getting your own millions of dollars and championship. It's a real life feeling though. No kidding.
1. THIS IS GOSPEL
Okay. I think this has the hardest and best choreography ever. You should see the behind the scenes after this. It's hilarious! First you'll see Brendon dying then wakes up then gets pulled back. It's crazy. And yes, there's this that iconic very convincing Brendon Urie facial expressions. See the piano version too if you must!
