Tricycle Driver Killed Over P20

For refusing to give the suspect an amount of P20, a tricycle driver was killed by stabbing in Tondo, Manila.

Rowell Luna, 34, resident of Area-A, Gate 3, Parola Compound, Tondo sustained two deep stab wounds in his body.

The suspect identified as Diosdado Alvero, alyas Baga, 53, is a neighbor of Luna.

The encounter happened at MICP Road, in front of Gate 3, Parola Compound, by 9:30 pm, PO3 Joel Jasareno of the Manila Police Dis-trict-Homicide Section said.

The victim, who was waiting for passengers,  was approached by the suspect to ask for P20.

But instead of offering him what he wanted, the victim hugged him and just laughed out that may have insulted the suspect.

The suspect went home and when he came back, he brought with him a 12-inch wedge.

He stabbed the victim twice and immediately escaped.

Alvin Briones, a fellow driver, rushed the victim to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.
