Angelito Calingo or simply called as “Lolo Lito” gained praises from the netizens as his photo selling candies and lollipops had gone viral on social media.
A netizen had spotted the old man selling lollipops along the streets near a McDonald branch in San Fernando, Pampanga that touched the hearts of other netizens because of his perseverance to work despite of his age.
The post said that Lolo Lito wasn’t seen for a week because his house was attacked some robbers and stole their money including the capital of Lolo Lito for candies. With what happened, he had to borrow for capital so he could sell again.
This explained that old candy man had to work harder so that he could pay the borrowed money at the same time to gain income for his family.
Everyone was touched by Lolo Lito’s story that instead of relaxing at home with his age, he was still working. Netizens shared his photos hoping that some fortunate people might notice the old man and help him.
