Bong Revilla Might Likely to Use Jinggoy Estrada’s Argument So He Could Also Post Bail

Former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. said on Monday that he might likely use the argument that his friend and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada used so that he could also post bail believing that justice is still served in the country.

"I will leave that to my lawyers pero siguro naman gagawin din namin kung ano ginawa ni Senator Jinggoy sa second petition for bail," said Revilla in a report. "Kaya nga naniniwala ako na meron pa rin namang hustisya dito sa ating bansa.”

It was after the two senators were filed plunder charges “in connection with the alleged pork barrel scam, which involved siphoning millions of pesos from their Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to bogus non-government organizations for kickbacks.”

But Estrada denied the allegations saying that there was lack of evidence and proofs that would point him as part of the scam.

It was similar to former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's case that led to the dismissal of plunder charges against her due to the lack of evidence.

Revilla’s lawyer Estellito Mendoza said that the prosecution had no basis for charging the former senator plunder case.

In 2015, former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile had posted bail.
